1. I believe the strongest technical aspect of our work was the creativity of the picture. instead of a person, we took a picture of a pumpkin with a hat. We also were very specific with the time that we spent exposing the picture.

2. I  believe the lighting for our picture could've been better but the winter months are inconsistent. i also believe our picture would've been better if we had a better camera. our aperture  was poked too big so it was easy to over expose the picture.

3. It was easy to take the picture because you just had to load the camera and place it down. there was no film to expand onto a larger piece of paper or any film to develop at all.

4. It was difficult to tell how much time we need to use to take the picture. at first we were exposing the paper for minutes but decided to cut down the amount by halves until we found that a little over 5 seconds was the right exposer time.

5. We used our coffee cameras. we made sure there were no light leaks. used our coffee can to expose a piece of paper to light, and developed it wight the proper values of black, white, and gray.

6. I would use a different camera to take our picture because i believe if the aperture was smaller, the picture would be more defined and have more detail. i also would've started with a smaller exposure time because we wasted a lot of time accidentally over exposing our test strips.

the strongest technical aspect of my work is the values. i was very specific on which filter i would use for my final product and which time i would set to the enlarger. 

My work could've been improved when it came to lining up the projected image with the paper. all of my works are slightly crooked. i could've also spent more time on the developing process but i had done it about 9 times.

It was easy to set up the enlarger. this includes applying the filter, inserting our negatives into the negative tray, and focusing the projection.

it was difficult to decide how much light i wanted to expose to my paper. it was also difficult making sure that you apply the right amount of light over a certain amount of time

i demonstrated the objective by creating a final product that has all of the values (white to black). i also used film that i had made and developed to make a final photo

I would try another image if i did this project again because id like to see how it might be different. i would also spend more time on the development process.

Photogram crackers

1. the strongest aspect of my work was the neatness and effort. They came out really good and i made sure they were extra wiped off

2. The color differentiation could be better. i found it difficult to guess what shade the paper tissue would be. 

3. It was easy to set the photo paper up and take the picture. although it smells and its boring, the development process was easy also.

4.like i said earlier, it is difficult to guess how much light a element will expose to the photo paper.

5. i made my photograms three different ways. one is a symmetrical photo made with keys, plastic barriers, and tissue paper. the second is a landscape made with part of the film wash container, a bazooka guy, and tissue paper. The last is just a magazine.

6. I would use a different thickness for the first photos tissue paper. I would also spend more time detailing my landscape. 

Assignment 4: polaroid

 

  The strongest aspect of my work is my emphasis on Uncle Jessie's guitar. I used the polygonal lasso tool too remove certain pieces of my polaroid png to make it seem like the guitar is erected out of the polaroids and into our dimension. I used the eye button to make the polaroid disappear, created a lasso around the guitar, and added the polaroid back in to remove the excess polaroid.
   
     I believe the aspect that could use improvement would be the edges of the excess polaroid that stick out a little. i should've spent more time being extremely exact.

     The easiest part about this activity is the background. All i did was find an oikos logo, dye it to match the guitar using the paint bucket tool, and clicked layer duplicate 5 million times.  Although it was easy, it was repetitive and difficult to line them all up perfectly.

     The most difficult part was removing the polaroid around johns chin.  Because it is so clefted and beautiful, it was very difficult to remove the polaroid to make it look natural. i eventually used a softer eraser to blend the removal of the polaroid into johns face for a better look.

     I used the layers of polaroid to make it look like polaroids scattered on a table.  I layer>duplicated many polaroids and placed them over my boy john.  i then proceeded to layer them naturally and remove access overlapping that would seem unrealistic. I then used the lasso tool to remove sections of polaroid to make it seem like it is 3 dimensional. My background uses a symbol very related to my subject and i used color options and opacity to strengthen the color in some of the background.

     If i did this art activity again i would position my polaorids differently. Besides that, i have no issues with my work and it is beautiful.

 i like the way i created a focal point using the history brush on my desaturated image. the aspect that could use more work is my preciseness with the history tool around our hair and faces. Desaturating your image easy because it only involves couple clicks. Using the history tool on hairs was difficult. I desaturated my image, then used the history tool to add color to my dad and I. I would try to use other skills to make my image even cooler.

The strongest aspect of my image is my amazing makeup skills. The woman's lips are poppin and her cheeks are rosy. The part that could use more work is her blemishes around the nose that could use better shading.
It was easy to erase blemishes. All you had to do was click on the freckles to erase them. The hardest part was trying to guess what color to make the blemish. In most cases where theres a shadow i had to make it a little iffy.
I demonstrated this activity by erasing most of her freckles and doing her makeup. i used my extensive knowledge in contouring to make her cheeks pop and used some color tool to make her lips perty. If i did this again i would erase more blemishes and spend more time making her less ugly because i really feel bad for her.

The strongest aspect of this work is the ice-cream cone. It looks freshly painted and very blue. The preciseness of my coloring around the lobster could use more work. I also don't like the color tool i used for the lobster. Thanks Jake Prophet.
It was easy to color inside the lobster except when you need to color the edges. It was difficult to color inside the lines around the hole in the lobster because it was broken a little bit
I demonstrated what we learned by coloring in the cone and lobster to make them look nice and freshly painted. If i did this activity again i would fix the awfulness around the lobsters hole to make it better painted.
